Summer Camp 2026–27: Learning Beyond the Classroom – 12.05.2026 to 15.05.2026
The Junior wing Summer Camp for Grades I–V at The Banyan Tree School was an exciting blend of creativity, exploration, and experiential learning. Students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities, including dance, music, science experiments, mathematics games, storytelling, theatre, communication skills, art and craft, and Hindi literary activities. Through hands-on projects, interactive sessions, and collaborative tasks, children developed confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork while discovering new talents and interests. The camp provided a joyful and enriching environment, making learning engaging, meaningful, and memorable for every participant.
CELEBRATING EARTH DAY WITH PURPOSE AND PASSION – 22.04.2026
The Banyan Tree School celebrated Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with great enthusiasm through a special assembly for students from Nursery to Grade 5, graced by Ms. Shubhangi from SCERT and attended by 58 Nursery parents. The programme began with a thoughtful message and inspiring Thought for the Day, followed by a lively Earth Day Ramp Walk by young learners and engaging pre-primary presentations. Highlights included a melodious choir performance, impactful speeches, a powerful Hindi Nukkad Natak Dharti Ki Pukar, and a thought-provoking One Act Play Earth 2050: A Glimpse Ahead, all reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation. The assembly concluded with an Earth Day pledge and a motivating address by the Principal, encouraging everyone to adopt sustainable practices and make every day Earth Day.
CELEBRATING EQUALITY AND INSPIRATION – AMBEDKAR JAYANTI ASSEMBLY
The students of Grade 3A conducted a special class assembly on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on 13 April 2026. The assembly began with the school song, setting a respectful and unified tone. The students then shared the importance of the day, highlighting the life and contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in a simple and meaningful manner suitable for young learners. A quiz was conducted to engage the audience, making the learning experience fun and participative. The assembly was thoughtfully planned to be age-appropriate, helping students understand the values of equality, respect, and education.
NURSERY PARENTS’ ORIENTATION – 04.04.2026
The Nursery Parents’ Orientation at Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road was conducted successfully, marking the beginning of a strong partnership between the school and parents. The programme began with a warm welcome followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the Principal’s address, where the vision and values of the school were shared. A delightful welcome dance by KG students added cheer to the event. Parents were then taken through a detailed presentation on the school curriculum and activities, followed by an insightful counselling session on fostering school readiness and strengthening parent–child relationships. The announcement of class teachers helped parents connect with the facilitators, and the programme concluded on a harmonious note with the school song by the choir and a vote of thanks, leaving parents informed and reassured about their child’s learning journey.
A JOYFUL START TO A NEW LEARNING JOURNEY – 01.04.2026
The academic session 2026–27 at Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road began on a cheerful and enthusiastic note in the Junior Wing. The first day was thoughtfully planned with a variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities for students from Nursery to Grade V, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

The youngest learners in Nursery explored tearing and pasting activities to develop fine motor skills, while KG students participated in creative name-based painting tasks. Students in Grades I and II engaged in imaginative drawing, craft work, and self-expression activities that encouraged creativity and personal identity. In Grades III to V, the focus was on building confidence, communication, and self-awareness through activities such as sharing about themselves, setting classroom goals, and participating in interactive speaking tasks. Each activity was complemented with meaningful takeaways, making the experience enjoyable and memorable.

The day was filled with excitement, laughter, and enthusiastic participation, setting a positive and energetic tone for the academic year ahead.

PRE-PRIMARY SESSION-END ASSEMBLY – SHINE AS YOU ARE – 13.03.2026
The Pre-Primary Wing celebrated its Session-End Assembly on 13 March 2026 with great enthusiasm, centred on the theme ‘Shine As You Are’, promoting self-belief and individuality. The programme included a warm welcome, lamp lighting, and an inspiring address by the Principal, followed by delightful performances such as a prayer, welcome song, and a presentation on the children’s learning journey. The highlight was a charming enactment inspired by Gerald the Giraffe by KG students, conveying the message of embracing one’s uniqueness. The assembly concluded with a grand finale dance, a thank you note, the School Song, and a nostalgic glimpse of the year, marking a joyful end to the session.
JUNIOR SCHOOL SPORTS DAY – A CELEBRATION OF SPIRIT AND STRENGTH – 14.03.2026
The Junior School Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 14 March 2026 on the school grounds, bringing together students, teachers, and parents in a vibrant display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance. The event commenced with the welcome of Chief Guest Ms. Jasmeen Sood, an accomplished alumna and sportsperson, followed by the School Song, Lighting of the Torch, and an inspiring address by the Principal. Students captivated the audience with graceful and energetic performances including Swagatam Dance, Western and Indian music, gymnastics, drill displays, Taekwondo, yoga, and dance. The highlight of the day was the series of exciting races for Grades 1 to 5, where students showcased determination and enthusiasm, alongside lively parent races that added to the festive spirit. The celebration concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony honouring the winners, a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, and the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and joy.
PRE-PRIMARY EXCURSION TO LODHI GARDEN – A DAY WITH NATURE – 16.03.2026
The Pre-Primary Department organised an enriching excursion to Lodhi Garden on 16 March 2026, where young learners enjoyed a joyful blend of nature exploration and experiential learning. Accompanied by teachers, support staff, and parent volunteers, students travelled safely in two buses and explored the lush surroundings, engaged in play, and visited a historic monument within the garden. A creative follow-up activity saw children expressing their experiences through drawings, reflecting keen observation and imagination. Two students who felt mildly unwell were promptly attended to and safely escorted back with due care. The excursion concluded smoothly, leaving the children with happy memories of a refreshing and engaging day outdoors.
GRADES III–V EXCURSION TO NATIONAL POLICE MEMORIAL – LEARNING WITH PURPOSE AND INSPIRATION – 17.03.2026
Students of Grades III to V participated in an enriching educational excursion to the National Police Memorial on 17 March 2026, with 109 students accompanied by 9 teachers. The visit offered a meaningful learning experience as students explored exhibits showcasing the history, courage, and sacrifices of police personnel, including displays of equipment and real-life operational footage. A key highlight was witnessing the solemn Beating Retreat ceremony, which left a deep impression on the students. Well-organised with the support of staff and parent volunteers, the excursion successfully fostered curiosity, awareness, and respect for national service, making it a memorable and impactful experience.
GRADES I & II EXCURSION TO NATIONAL RAIL MUSEUM – A JOURNEY OF LEARNING AND DISCOVERY – 17.03.2026
Students of Grades I and II visited the National Rail Museum on 17 March 2026 for an engaging and educational excursion, with 74 students participating. The visit offered a wonderful glimpse into India’s railway heritage, as children explored steam engines, royal coaches, and interactive exhibits with great curiosity. A highlight of the day was the joyful toy train ride around the museum. The experience was enriched with teacher-guided learning, a snack break, games, and group photographs. Back in school, students reflected creatively through drawings and writing activities, making the excursion a perfect blend of learning and fun, and leaving them with lasting memories.
GRADE I SPARKLES WITH HYGIENE AND HEALTH- July 2025
Our little stars from Grade IA stole the show with their vibrant songs and energetic dance performances — all to spread a powerful message on the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and staying healthy. They reminded us that caring for ourselves and our surroundings is the first step to a brighter tomorrow.
COLOURS CAME ALIVE ON PAPER – July 2025
As part of the art class, students engaged in a painting activity in their art book. They used paints to express their creativity and explored different colours and patterns. The activity helped enhance their imagination, fine motor skills, and confidence in artistic expression.
NAVIGATION CLUB ACTIVITY – July 2025
As part of developing life skills, a fun and engaging activity on Navigation Skills was conducted for Grade 5 students. After a quick intro to directions, they worked in teams to guide a blindfolded friend to a hidden teammate using only verbal clues. A fun way to build spatial awareness and teamwork.
ROARING WITH PRIDE THIS TIGER DAY – July 2025
From Nursery to Grade V, our young explorers unleashed their creativity and curiosity to celebrate International Tiger Day.

Whether it was adorable tiger masks in Nursery, fun quizzes, or fact-filled posters in Grade 5, each activity reflected their love and concern for our majestic wild cats. Every roar, sketch, and fact reminded us why tigers need our voice and protection.

MOMENTS FOR MOM – May 2025
Our students celebrated Mother’s Day with love and creativity. Classes Nursery to Class V, each child crafted something special — flip cards, wristbands, tulip art, tiaras, photo frames, and gratitude coupons — all made with joy to honour their moms. A heartfelt tribute from little hands to loving hearts!
LITTLE HANDS, BIG LOVE FOR EARTH – April 2025
Our young learners celebrated Earth Day with a joyful painting activity, expressing their care for the planet through colours and creativity. Using brushes and finger dabs, children painted the Earth while learning the message of ‘Save Earth, Save Future.’ This hands-on activity helped nurture environmental awareness, fine motor skills, and a sense of responsibility towards our planet—all while having fun and creating beautiful artwork.
