A Leap to Victory: Banyan Tree Secures Top Honours in Gymnastics – 10.12.2025
Our gymnasts delivered a stellar performance at the U-14 Inter-School Gymnastics Championship 2025, held at VIBGYOR School, Gurugram. Demonstrating exceptional skill and discipline, the team secured an impressive haul of three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. A special highlight was the remarkable achievement of Chetan from VIII A, who was crowned the Individual Champion. Thanks to these collective efforts, the school proudly secured the third position overall, marking a significant milestone in our sporting journey.
Zonal Level Science Quiz Competition, 2025 – 12.11.2025
The Zonal Level Science Quiz Competition was held recently, offering a platform for students to showcase their scientific knowledge, reasoning skills, and quick thinking abilities. The event featured three engaging rounds designed to test participants’ understanding of scientific concepts — General Science, Rapid-Fire, and Visual Identification. Each round encouraged analytical thinking, teamwork, and presence of mind under pressure.

Our school was represented by Class X students Vanshil Verma, Piyush Rawat, and Jishnav Baisoya, who displayed remarkable confidence, coordination, and enthusiasm throughout the competition. Their preparation, dedication, and spirit of teamwork were evident in every round as they tackled challenging questions with clarity and composure. The quiz saw participation from 48 reputed schools across the zone, making the competition highly intense and intellectually stimulating.

Despite tough competition, our team performed exceptionally well and secured the second position, earning well-deserved applause from judges and participants alike. Their outstanding achievement brought immense pride and recognition to the school. The Principal and teachers congratulated the students for their excellent performance and commended their commitment to excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.

This accomplishment has not only strengthened our school’s reputation for academic brilliance but also inspired other students to develop a keen interest in science. It has encouraged them to explore scientific ideas beyond textbooks and to participate actively in such intellectually enriching competitions. Banyan Tree School Triumphs at CHITRANJALI 2025 – The Art Competition – 04.10.2025
Banyan Tree School takes immense pride in celebrating the remarkable achievements of its young artists at the prestigious CHITRANJALI – The Art Competition, held on 4th October 2025. We are delighted to share that Tabinda Shafi of Class VII B and Aaradhya Chauhan of Class IX B have brought laurels to the school by securing the First and Second Positions, respectively, in the esteemed ‘Matrika’ Painting Competition.

The theme for this year’s competition, “Motherhood or Divine Feminine,” called for profound creativity and thoughtful expression. Our students not only rose to the challenge but also excelled in bringing the theme to life through their exceptional artistic vision. Tabinda’s painting stood out for its depth, originality, and emotional resonance, earning her the top position, while Aaradhya’s work impressed the judges with its vibrant expression and intricate detailing, securing her the second position.

These achievements reflect the dedication, imagination, and artistic excellence of our students, highlighting their ability to interpret complex themes with creativity and sensitivity. Twinning of Schools 2025
The Twinning of Schools event saw enthusiastic participation in interschool competitions, including Poster Making, Yoga, Dance, and Sports. Tabinda won the first position in Poster Making with her creative design, while Raj secured third place in Dance for his fantastic performance. The event celebrated talent, creativity, and sportsmanship, with students showcasing dedication and passion in every competition. This memorable day highlighted the spirit of friendly rivalry and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.
The Twinning of Schools event witnessed enthusiastic participation in various interschool competitions, including Poster Making, Yoga, Dance, and Sports. Aryan and Disha from Class VII-B also showcased their talents, securing third prizes in Singing and Poster Making, respectively.

We are proud to announce that students from Banyan Tree School have won the trophy and a Certificate of Appreciation at the Best Out of Waste Competition organized by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Delhi. This prestigious event focused on the theme “Best Out of Waste,” where our students showcased their innovative solutions for repurposing discarded materials. Their projects not only demonstrated exceptional creativity but also highlighted the significant impact of small, mindful actions on the environment. By transforming waste into valuable and functional items, our students illustrated the crucial importance of conservation and how minor changes can lead to major positive differences for our planet. This achievement underscores our commitment to environmental sustainability and creative problem-solving, reflecting the values we promote at Banyan Tree School. Odyssey: Analogy of Viewfinder and Rear View Mirror
As a Kathak Dancer, I approach photography with the intention of conveying emotions and expressions through my photographs. During my recent journey from Kalanaur to Dhianpur in Punjab, I specifically focused on capturing the expression in the driver’s eye. The analogy drawn between photographers using a camera’s viewfinder to navigate the world and drivers using the rearview mirror to navigate the road implies a deeper meaning. It suggests that just as photographers look forward through their viewfinder to capture new moments, drivers focus on the road ahead as well as in the rearview mirror to move forward. Instead of being stuck in the past, it encourages embracing the present and future, seizing opportunities, and creating new experiences. This comparison highlights the universal theme of moving forward in life, regardless of one’s profession or circumstance. I shared this image titled ‘Odyssey’ in the KNMA Shutterbugs Competition, a self-portrait contest inspired by the monochrome world of iconic photographer Raghu Rai, organized by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Arts, New Delhi. My photograph won the competition, and I received the prize from the legendary photographer Raghu Rai himself. My winning photograph is now displayed in a unique Pop-up People’s Exhibition at KNMA Saket alongside the ‘Raghu Rai: A Thousand Lives’ exhibition. This exhibition was inaugurated on May 6, 2024, by Raghu Rai and KNMA’s Director and Chief Curator, Roobina Karode. Aspiring photographers had the pportunity to interact with both during an open house session, gaining insights and inspiration. It was an enriching experience for all involved, celebrating photography’s power to capture lives and stories.
