Swachh Bharat Mission
As a part of the campaign for Swachh Bharat-Swachhta Pakhwada (CBSE), various activities were conducted in our school, to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and self hygiene .

From 01/09/23 to 15/09/23 September Swachhata Pakhwada was organised , Swachhta Shapath was taken on the very first day of the Pakhwada, where all the students , the Principal, Vice Princpal and the staff of the school participated. Out of various activities slogan writing on ‘Swachh Bharat’ were conducted for classes VI to X, where the students realized the importance of cleanliness and sanitation, as the role of schools has been Instrumental in realizing the mission of Swachh Bharat.

House Pledge Writing Activity
The theme of the activity was : Young Nation – 75 years of independence.
Their pledge included their vision for the country and their role in it.
They notably pledged to be creative and innovative citizens for the country. They pledged to maintain peace and harmony as the young citizens of the country; and to protect the rich heritage of our country.

Heritage Walk at Humayun’s Tomb

Heritage Walk at Humayun’s Tomb for Class XII History Students
’12th November 2022…..the heritage walk to Humayun’s Tomb was a day full of adventures, fun and learning with friends for the history students of class XII ! A clear sky, beautiful architecture, nature and the sound of birds along with interesting stories… made it a memorable day!’

Write like Mesopotamians
Class XI Humanities students did a practical activity in History to learn how the Mesopotamians wrote! Instead of Clay, they used Modelling Clay, instead of a reed pen they used a straw… and they WROTE LIKE THE MESOPOTAMIANS!!!
What a wonderful learning experience!
Story Telling Competition
Grade 3 & 4 students shine in an inter-class story-telling competition! 🌟 With great enthusiasm, young storytellers captivated the audience with imaginative tales and valuable life lessons. From bravery to kindness, each story showcased the importance of moral values in a world that needs them the most. The event left everyone inspired.
Karate Classes
“Children are not only learning karate in their hands but in their mind and heart also”.
This implies that the students are not only physically learning the techniques of karate but are also learning the mental and emotional aspects of the martial art. This could refer to the discipline, focus, and values that karate teaches, in addition to the physical skills.
Plantation Drive- Van Mahotsav
To spread the awareness of the importance of tree plantation among the students, classes 1 to 4 of the Banyan Tree School participated in a Plantation Drive with full enthusiasm.
The curiosity to learn and the will to create a change were clearly seen in the efforts of the students. They also learned that ‘Van Mahotsav’ is celebrated at the onset of the monsoon season because the saplings planted during this period have a greater chance of survival. These various activities helped to instill the value of social responsibility in the students.

Silhouette Autobiography

On 15th April, 2023 BTS Lodhi Road conducted ‘Silhouette Autobiography’ for grades IX to XII. Students were asked to bring cut-outs of girl/boy on coloured sheets. They were asked to write about themselves in the cut-out.The students included various things like about their dreams, challenges they have had to overcome, their favourite memory and many others.Through this activity, students used their creative skills and wrote their minds.

Food Is The String That Binds Us Together
The term ‘Indian Cuisine’ denotes a melange of flavours from different parts of the country and the same was showcased by the students of grade VI-VIII.
Students brought a variety of local cuisine/dishes of various Indian regions- Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Assam etc.
The students enthusiastically showcased their dish by sharing its name (in local language), the process involved in its making, the ingredients used and also shared the importance of the dish in the culture.
The theme of the activity was to make students aware about traditional local cuisines and the use of local language involved in the process.The incredible culinary diversity of India was depicted through this activity.
CBSE Literature Week – Celebration of Regional Women Writers
Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road celebrated Literature Week wherein they created collages and posters on Regional Women Writers. Classes from IX-XII participated with great zeal and enthusiasm; and understood the value and contribution of women writers in literature.
