Evoking the spirit of sportsmanship among the students, Banyan Tree School, Sector-48-B, Chandigarh, celebrated its Annual Sports Meet-2024 on Saturday.
The electrifying event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Olympian and Arjuna Awardee Anjum Moudgil. The event commenced with the lighting up of the torch with a victory flame, with which the school principal, Ms. Garima S. Bhardwaj declared the sports meet open. The chief guest, along with the school Principal, Vice- Principal and Headmistress also took the salute for the impressive march past. The event marked the holding up of several sports activities like the carrot race, obstacle race, relay races, long jump, shot put, and more. To add more to the event, the children performed a miscellany of performances that included rhythmic yoga, umbrella dance, followed by classical dance, and bhangra. The tug of war between the parents and teachers added to the enjoyment. The whole atmosphere was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young Banyanites. The chief guest congratulated the school on the successful conduct of the event and encouraged the students to participate more in sports and bring laurels to the nation.
