CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Art Integration was conducted on January 10, 2024 at Banyan Tree School, Chandigarh. The workshop was directed to accentuate the importance of integrating art with other subjects in the school curriculum. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the host school. Ms.Jasjit Kaur Jaggi, the principal of Silver Wings Universal School, Zirakpur and Ms. Anju Mehra, the former principal of Angel Valley School, Rajpura,Patiala were the esteemed resource persons by CBSE.
The session reiterated the significance of art integration as introduced by CBSE. Numerous methods were discussed to elevate creative thinking, deeper understanding, and problem-solving skills appertaining to the topic. The workshop focused on effective strategies and approaches for seamlessly integrating art into subjects like Science, Mathematics, History, and Literature. Plethora of art projects, group discussions, and collaborative learning exercises were undertaken by the participants under the guidance of CBSE resource persons.The educators enthusiastically embraced the workshop’s activities and discussions. The vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences among educators added depth to the workshop’s proceedings. The workshop was an enriching experience for all attendees. Ms.Garima Bhardwaj, principal of Banyan Tree School, extended a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the resource persons and organizers in ensuring the success of this insightful workshop.
