Significance of Self Esteem

In human body life, mind and soul are the basic elements. Not necessarily the mind which the soul also says. The contemplation of the soul the decision, the happiness and the pain are different, which is not effected by any other than truth. It makes the winners. Therefore it is said that self determination, self satisfaction, self awareness and self esteem are fundamentals of character. Self-esteem is often seen as a personality trait, which means that it tends to be stable and enduring.  It can involve a variety of beliefs about you, such as the appraisal of your own appearance, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors.

Self esteem gives us the power to become self reliant and self sufficient, it shows the path. It can play a significant role in your motivation and success throughout your life.  Low self-esteem may hold you back from succeeding at work place because you don’t believe yourself to be capable enough of success. The person who is trapped in greed becomes the parasite and the entity loses its self esteem. The history of India is full of such great men, they sacrificed their lives for protecting self respect to happen even after they have to eat grass breads. As  Swami Vivekananda said “all the power is within you, you can do anything and everything believe in that, don’t believe that you are weak, stand up and express that divinity within you”.

Self-confidence is one of the most important skills that parents and teachers can encourage in children of all ages. As educators, we are developing student’s character by enhancing their confidence and totting up them the value of self esteem in order to make them better as an individual.  Self esteem helps children to develop healthy friendship , leadership skills and performing well in academics and in extra curricular activities.
